As a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional, you will play a key role in shaping our workplace culture by promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
Job Summary
* This part-time HSE Coordinator position offers the flexibility of working 22.5 hours per week with a 3-day schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing HSE guidance and advice to team leaders, project managers, and employees. You will also support injury and claims management, champion a proactive HSE learning culture, and analyze incidents and near-misses to identify root causes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide HSE guidance and advice on risk assessments, project HSE documentation, and tools to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Support the understanding and implementation of critical HSE controls, monitoring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
* Champion a proactive HSE learning culture by engaging teams to understand daily safety practices and encouraging feedback to improve systems and controls.
* Support the analysis of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and work with the business to determine suitable corrective actions.
Requirements
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
* Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) certification is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Teamwork and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
* Technical HSE expertise, including training, auditing, and investigation capabilities.
