The Role
Opportunity exists for a high performing individual to fulfil the APS 6 Business Intelligence (Support) Officer role within the Space Systems Branch Executive Team.
Responsibilities include:
* Apply knowledge and experience in accounting to undertake objective, systematic financial analysis and can draw accurate conclusions based on evidence.
* Evaluate and interrogate financial data to ensure the accuracy of financial information in reports and systems.
* Ability to raise, maintain and pay purchase orders through ERP.
* Supporting the Security Officer with general Security including, On-boarding, Off-boarding, Risk assessments and Overseas travel briefings.
* Manage resources and workforce requirements as required for APS and ADF vacant positions and coordinating recruitment activities.
* Supporting the tasking coordination for the branch, utilising House of Governance (HOG), Apply knowledge of relevant legislation and Defence policies and procedures to ensure analysis is relevant to the business context.
About our Team
Space Systems Branch acquires and sustains Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and GPS systems, and is a trusted advisor of SATCOM systems for the Australian Defence Organisation. SATCOM Systems Program Office within Space Systems Branch operates in a high-tempo and dynamic environment.
The team comprises professionals from various disciplines including project management, engineering, commercial and logistics. This multi-disciplinary team is composed of highly-skilled and motivated Australian Public Service, ADF and contracted personnel. The team works from Brindabella Park Offices in Canberra and maintains close collaboration with other parts of Defence and other government agencies.
The successful applicants will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of APS, ADF and contracted support to ensure the SATCOM and GPS capabilities are supported in accordance with operational requirements, budget and service agreements.

Security Clearance:
