Permanent Senior Accountant Position | $120,000 - $130,000 + Super | Inner South Brisbane Location Your new company

Your new role
* Own the end‐to‐end financial close and consolidation process across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate journals, reconciliations, statutory, regulatory and taxation compliance, and timely month‐end and year‐end reporting.
* Manage audit and control activities by coordinating internal and external audits, maintaining robust documentation, and ensuring strong financial controls, systems, and governance frameworks are in place.
* Oversee treasury and commercial finance activities, including cash flow management, forecasting, budgeting, contract oversight, and providing sound financial guidance to operational leaders.
* Drive continuous improvement and capability uplift by enhancing financial systems, controls, and processes, supporting finance projects and strategic initiatives, and supervising and mentoring junior finance team members while contributing flexibly to broader finance needs.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree‐qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline, with CA or CPA certification required; listed company experience considered advantageous.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a commercial or professional services environment, with strong technical accounting capability, including tax, regulatory compliance, and ownership of month‐end and year‐end processes and audits.
* Strong systems and analytical skills, including advanced Excel capability and hands‐on experience with ERP/accounting systems in fast‐paced environments.
* Confident, proactive finance professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a continuous improvement mindset, proven experience supervising and mentoring junior team members, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, evolving workplace.
