Remuneration: $83,280 - $113,025 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

Join a dynamic research team working at the forefront of drug discovery to develop novel therapeutic agents for arthritis and lymphedema. In this role, you will design and synthesise new compounds using structure‐based and medicinal chemistry approaches, contribute to pharmacokinetic optimisation, and support broader discovery activities, including data analysis, sample preparation, and report writing. You'll work closely with colleagues and external partners, providing fortnightly progress updates and building your research expertise within a collaborative and highly skilled environment.

As a Research Fellow, your main responsibility will be to drive the laboratory‐based chemistry program, delivering high‐quality experimental work, contributing to compound design decisions, and ensuring project milestones are met. You will take ownership of research outputs, maintain accurate scientific records, and contribute to publications and reports that advance the project's objectives.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
* A PhD (or equivalent experience) in medicinal or synthetic chemistry
* Strong hands‐on laboratory experience in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
