About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. About the role As a Product Manager in the Core Services tribe at DGS, you will help design and improve the reusable services that government regulators, agencies and departments use to enact legislation. These services provide capabilities like identity, payments, government navigators, and form submission. Your job is to make sure these products are easy to use, meet the needs of the public and public service, and it a more efficient and a better place to work. You'll work closely with different teams and departments, using feedback and data to guide decisions and make improvements. This role is a great opportunity to make a real difference behind the scenes in how government works. Key Accountabilities To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate the following: Define and execute on the product strategy and roadmap, whilst ensuring it contributes to the overarching business strategy. Understand and follow current and emerging technologies relating to digital applications, and incorporate into product roadmap where appropriate Use data analysis and reporting to drive product decisions, stakeholder engagement and backlog prioritisation Experience in a digital business with a record of accomplishment in improving the Customer Experience Analyse customer feedback and the overall the performance of the product portfolio from a business, agency and client perspective to identify and prioritise enhancements to improve Service Victoria's products and the experience for customers. Work closely with all areas of the business, in particular executives, delivery teams, business analysts, technical delivery and user experience staff to discover, ideate and define product opportunities, and deliver work using agile methodologies. Provide leadership to build the team's capability in agile methodologies and capacity to deliver. Regularly liaise with representatives from Victorian Government agencies and departments to demonstrate latest product iterations to customers (pre-release) and gather feedback. Prioritise and communicate this feedback to the team. Ensure that the Product Manager, Product Director, and Executive Director are kept up to date with progress, delays to progress and any issues arising that will impact on the timely delivery of products.
