About the Role
As a Graduate Accountant, reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis, you'll support the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a variety of finance functions including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, compliance, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries and report generation
2. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
3. Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations
4. Contribute to daily finance operations and transactional data entry
5. Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice handling and debt collection
6. Assist in preparing BAS returns, FBT reporting, and funding acquittals
7. Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
8. Uphold organisational values and contribute to a safe, respectful, and collaborative workplace
What You'll Bring
1. A Diploma in Accounting (with strong interest in completing a Bachelor's degree and pursuing CA/CPA qualification)
2. Solid understanding of accounting standards and principles
3. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
4. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Proven time management and organisational skills, especially under pressure
7. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
8. Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information
Mandatory Requirements
1. Current Driver's Licence
2. Valid Working with Children Check
3. National Police Check (dated within the last 12 months)
4. Willingness to travel between campuses as required
