Generalist Solicitor - Community Legal Centre
Pay: $91,913 - $109,249 + super + salary packaging
Location: Swan Hill, VIC. (Relocation required if not already local)
Employment Type: Full-time or 0.8 FTE (35 hours/week)
Tradewind Australia is proud to partner with a well-established community legal service in regional Victoria to recruit an experienced Generalist Solicitor for their Swan Hill office.

About the Role
As a Generalist Solicitor, you will provide free legal advice, casework and representation across a range of matters including family law, family violence, civil law and credit/debt issues.
Working within an integrated service model, you'll collaborate closely with professionals across social work, mental health and financial counselling to deliver holistic, client-centred support.
This role also offers opportunities to engage in community legal education, outreach services and law reform initiatives, ensuring your work extends beyond individual casework into broader community impact.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality legal advice, casework and minor representation
* Participate in duty lawyer services and client appointment rosters
* Deliver outreach services to regional and remote communities
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support client outcomes
* Contribute to community legal education initiatives
* Maintain accurate case notes, reporting and data collection
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia with a current practising certificate
* Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience (ideally)
* Experience across areas such as family law, family violence, civil law or credit/debt
* Demonstrated commitment to social justice and supporting disadvantaged communities
* Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
Desirable:
* Experience working within a Community Legal Centre or similar setting
* Experience representing clients in courts and tribunals
* Understanding of issues impacting vulnerable cohorts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and CALD populations
