We are seeking a motivated individual to fill a key role in our team. The successful candidate will lead and motivate a small crew, fostering a culture of safety.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
* Repairing sewer reticulation blockages and lateral connection (jump up) blockages
* Maintaining high pressure sewer cleaning trucks and equipment to ensure efficient operation
* Installing sewer extensions or lateral connections as required
* Inspecting/managing manhole asset integrity for follow up repairs as needed
* Performing Reactive high pressure flushing of sewer main blockages as necessary
* Conducting surveys of reticulation systems to identify illegal storm water and groundwater inflow
* Working in conjunction with the vacuum tanker crew to remove silt and sand from sewer lines
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A current HR licence or ability to obtain
* Construction White Card
* Current confined space accreditation and/or willingness to gain accreditation
* Previous experience in maintenance of wastewater reticulation assets or trade/civil construction background
* Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments (candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical)
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
No prior wastewater industry experience is necessary if you have transferable skills from construction or related fields. We offer on-the-job training to the right candidate.
