About The Role
As Ventia's Digital Services team grows, we're looking for a Senior Project Manager for key delivery activities for large complex and specialised projects ensuring adherence to governance and high standard of delivery of outcomes in time and within budget. You'll role model adherence to governance and standards for regulatory compliance but also to ensure high standard of delivery outcomes in expected timeframes and within budget. This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Cremorne, VIC office.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimize the Digital project portfolio to ensure transparency of all projects with respective sponsors and leadership.
* Implement and drive continuous improvement in project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and balance project manager loads according to organizational goals and resource availability.
* Provide regular, comprehensive reporting on project status, performance, risks and actions to the leadership team and business program reviews.
* Ensure timely and accurate updating of capital spend for financial reporting, ensuring compliance and transparency.
* Actively review financial budgets for any potential release of funds, adopt a cost-conscious behaviour for the broader benefit of Ventia
* Identify, assess, and drive risks & actions with project managers across the project portfolio, implementing proactive measures to minimize issues.
* Identify and assess critical dependencies within the project and external factors, ensure regular management and reporting.
* Govern the quality of key project deliverables and entry/exit gates in PMO 365 aligned to the delivery framework.
* Manage Resource Utilization, develop efficient allocation and use of resources across the project portfolio.
* Stakeholder Satisfaction: Level of satisfaction among stakeholders, as measured through feedback and surveys.
About You
To be successful in your application, you will have proven experience as a Senior Project Manager leading teams, delivering across diverse digital portfolios accompanied with:
* Proven experience in driving project excellence, governance, and continuous improvement
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project / PMO365 and the Microsoft Suite
* Must Have a Prince2 Certification or equivalent
* Proven experience in leading and managing multiple projects
* Jira experience desirable
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with internal and external teams including Vendors
* Financials Management experience; cost variances, forecasting, delivering on time, to scope and within budget
* Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver end-to-end projects in alignment with established project management frameworks and governance standards
