About us:
CQ Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset - 'our people'.
The Workforce Division Unit comprises approximately 40 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
About the role:
Contribute to the effective development, management and delivery of professional work health, safety, wellbeing and rehabilitation and return to work services provided by Workforce Safety and Wellbeing and effectively and efficiently inform and support the relevant Senior Managers and staff responses and strategies.
The position implements, reviews and reports on work health, safety, wellbeing and rehabilitation and return to work policies, guidelines, procedures and networks consistent with Health Service policy. The role is responsible for the review, implementation and coordination of the safety management system and rehabilitation and return to work services for CQHHS.
About you:
Qualifications in work health and safety or injury management will be well regarded.
High level of knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and associated acts, regulations, policies and standards.
Demonstrated skill in conducting audits, investigating accidents and dangerous events to identify risks and causative factors, and make recommendations to control risks in compliance with the legislation.
Demonstrated ability to apply injury management practices and strategies to facilitate appropriate outcomes for injured and ill employees
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,052 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary between $105,568 - $114,861 p.a.
