Fixed Term Part-Time hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Public Health team in the Pilbara. This is a regional opportunity requiring travel including overnight stays. The position location is flexible and may be negotiated within the Pilbara region.
To be successful, you will have...
* Demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of Primary Health Care practice including disease control principles.
* Demonstrated extensive knowledge of cultural factors and social determinants of health, particularly Aboriginal Health.
* Demonstrated experience in health information management systems, including data analysis and interpretation.
* Demonstrated highly developed written and verbal communication skills including negotiation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Position Profile:
In collaboration with management and key stakeholders: lead, plan, implement and evaluate health promotion strategies and programs across the Pilbara that align with local, state and national population health priorities. Coordinate and facilitate harm reduction programs within the Pilbara region to prevent and control blood borne virus (BBV) transmission.
