About the Role
We are currently hiring casual staff for our busy spring/summer season to assist with various tasks related to garden maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina. If you have a passion for working with plants, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow in the horticultural industry, we want to hear from you.
We have sites all across ACT. You will have the opportunity to work at some beautiful and prestigious sites - from private schools and retirement villages to large commercial sites and well-known sporting venues.
Responsibilities
* Assist with garden maintenance tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
* Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively under the guidance of experienced team members.
* Load and unload materials, plants, and equipment from trucks and trailers.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
* Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.

About You
* You have a strong work ethic and are committed to completing tasks to the highest standards.
* You are physically fit with the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods.
* If you have previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field this will be looked upon favourably.
* You must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
* A valid drivers licence is desirable and you have, or are willing to obtain, a white card and a working with children check.
* Above all, you are mature and have the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
* Shifts are generally between 6am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
