About You
We are looking for someone warm, friendly, respectful and willing to learn. Someone who truly cares for the clients, is willing to listen and to help them achieve their full potential. An ability to build strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders is a must, as is the genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Provide individual support services and direct care for people with disability
* Support the client in community participation programs
* Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
* Supporting with Domestic activities and assistance with personal care
* Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
* Medication assistance
* Assist with meal preparation
* Willingness to work with individuals with complex behaviours of concern
* Maintaining records of client progress
Requirements:
* Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
* The ability to support participants to achieve social and self-care goals
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Level II First Aid and CPR
* NDIS Worker Screening check
* Current WWCC/ Blue Card or willingness to obtain
* Current Australian Driver's License
