Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Advance Practice Provider Lead in our Surgical Department.
Responsibilities:
* Administer medications, immunizations and injections, initiate IVs.
* Support physicians by recording patient progress notes, issuing diagnostic orders, transcribing orders.
* Promote health education and counseling functions.
* Billing services according to CMS and NJ State Board Regulations.
* Demonstrate expertise to provide high-quality care for patients.
* Develop comprehensive care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams and submit reports to physicians and families.
* Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility and nursing standards.
* Foster effective relationships with other medical providers.
* Evaluate patients to determine presence of illness, utilizing physical findings, laboratory results, medical history, prescribe treatments as indicated.
* Counsel and educate patients regarding health and illness prevention, instruct on medication use and treatment instructions.
* Prescribe medications based on Federal & State Regulations.
* Order and review relevant laboratory and diagnostic procedures, ensure all lab data is documented.
* Participate in protocol development.
* Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations, document findings accurately.
* Provide independent evaluations and treatment procedures during emergencies.
* Ensure continuity of care between physician visits.
* Coordinate nursing and training programs to ensure compliance with policies such as HIPAA, OSHA, Code of Conduct.
* Maintain quality and adequacy of nursing practice.
* Routine chart reviews and audits.
* Suture wounds, incise and drain wounds, repair lacerations.
* Collaborate with physicians to diagnose conditions as necessary.
