About the Role
As Communications Coordinator, you'll support the delivery of SXGC's communications, community engagement and external relations activities across our Sunday Creek project.
This is a hands-on coordination role. You'll be responsible for keeping communications moving, events organised, meetings well run and commitments followed through — providing the discipline and structure that strong engagement relies on.
What You'll Drive
Coordinating day-to-day communications activity, including social media, newsletters and website updates
Preparing and distributing community notices, updates and materials
Coordinating logistics for community meetings, information sessions, events and site tours
Supporting Community Reference Group, council and stakeholder meetings — agendas, minutes and actions
Maintaining accurate engagement records, contact lists and documentation
Supporting community grants coordination and engagement reporting
Liaising across internal teams to gather inputs, images and approvals ________________________________________
Who You Are
You're someone who brings organisation, reliability and follow-through. You enjoy working with people, managing details and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Your Background
Experience in communications, coordination, administration or a customer-facing role
Strong attention to detail and disciplined organisation skills
Confident using digital tools and social media platforms
Clear, professional written and verbal communication
Comfortable working in a lean, evolving environment
Genuine interest in community engagement and stakeholder relationships
A qualification in communications, media, PR or marketing is desirable but not essential.

Location: Kilmore, VIC
Roster: Monday – Friday, with flexibility and occasional after-hours / weekend work for events
Contract: Permanent (full-time or part-time considered)
Reports to: Head of Community & External Relations
Start date: February 2026
