About the Role
Wormald is seeking Accredited Fire Safety Practitioners to join our team and support our Northern and Western NSW business. This is a great opportunity to work with one of Australia's leading fire protection companies as we expand our services across key regions and can be based in any of our branches Newcastle, Tuggerah, Coffs Harbour, Orange, Dubbo, Tamworth, and Broken Hill. Travel will be required.
In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) assessments and inspecting essential fire safety measures across a wide variety of buildings. You'll also ensure that fire safety measures are implemented effectively and stay up to date with the latest fire safety regulations, technologies, and best practices while providing expert support to clients on compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform AFSS assessments and inspections of fire safety measures across multiple buildings to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
* Identify non-compliance issues, supported by efficient reporting processes.
* Collaborate with clients, building managers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure proper implementation and assessment of fire safety measures.
* Stay up to date with the latest fire safety regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.
* Provide expert guidance and technical support to clients regarding fire safety compliance and regulations.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues, implementing solutions and improvements to enhance overall outcomes.
* Endorse Annual Fire Safety Statement once all issues are resolved.
Key Requirements:
* FPA Accreditation qualified status (or working towards).
* Proven experience in fire safety assessments and inspections.
* Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional written (reporting) and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to travel across the assigned regions (travel expenses covered).
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
