Events & Enterprise Coordinator
Southbank – 3 month contract – January start
We're seeking a proactive and reliable Events & Enterprise Coordinator to support the Herald Sun Shop and the Run for the Kids race office in the lead‑up to the 2026 event. This hands‑on role will focus on the dispatch of orders, preparation of race kits, and assisting customers across multiple channels to ensure seamless operational delivery.
This is an in‑office position based at HWT Tower, Southbank, offering a unique opportunity to be part of one of Melbourne's most iconic community events. The role will operate on a casual basis, with hours expected to be 9am–5pm, up to five days per week, and mandatory weekend work required in March 2026.
What's the role?
You will be responsible for supporting event and shop operations, including:
Herald Sun Shop
* Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders
* Assist customers with telephone enquiries
* Respond to email enquiries and provide appropriate solutions to achieve customer outcomes
Run for the Kids – Race Office
* Pick, pack, and dispatch race kits and merchandise
* Assist customers via phone and email
* Provide timely and accurate information to entrants
* Distribute race kits at the race office collection point
* Work onsite at the Run for the Kids event on Sunday, 29 March 2026, supporting administration in the event marquee
Who are you?
* Flexible and able to multitask effectively
* Strong accountability and reliability
* High attention to detail, particularly with repetitive or process‑driven tasks
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Confidence working both collaboratively and autonomously
* Understanding of pick/pack/dispatch workflows (desirable)
* Business administration or events experience (desirable)
* A current driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
