We operate on a 7-day rotating roster with working hours between 8:30am and 2:30pm, making this position ideal for school drop-offs and social commitments. Weekend availability is required; however, you will receive penalty rates for your hard work and dedication to the position.
The duties and responsibilities of the role include:
1. Cleaning of rooms as per daily scheduling
2. Stocking of room attendant trolleys
3. Maintaining chemical containers
4. Ensuring cleanliness of storerooms and stock control
5. Making beds to meet the required standard
6. Vacuuming of rooms, corridors, and outside doorways
7. Cleaning of bathrooms and amenities
8. Laundry responsibilities
9. Maintaining public areas, including restaurant, function rooms, and day spa
10. Dusting and cleaning of furniture, mirrors, and glass areas
11. Disposal of waste
Please note that if you are successful in this role, you will be required to complete a fully funded Certificate III in Hospitality as part of your employment with The Wests Group. This program is offered in partnership with Allara Learning and is subject to eligibility criteria.
Additionally, this role requires a Criminal Check to be undertaken prior to starting (costs covered by Wests Group).
About you
You are dependable with impeccable standards in maintaining a clean, sanitized, tidy, and pleasant environment for hotel guests and clients. You enjoy being on your feet, working hard, but most importantly, having a laugh. Prior cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
