Mobile plant operators are required for mobile processing equipment across the UK. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking for variety, responsibility, and career growth.
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or electrical plant operation, be comfortable working unsupervised at remote sites, and possess self-motivation, organisation, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain mobile processing plant on customer sites across the UK.
* Work on a 10-day rotation with accommodation and travel provided.
* Follow staggered shift patterns, including weekends and occasional nights.
* Support with assembly, disassembly, and optimisation of high-speed industrial machinery.
* Carry out routine maintenance and report faults or hazards appropriately.
* Assist service engineers and follow safe systems of work, including risk assessments and method statements.
Requirements
* Background in mechanical and/or electrical plant operation.
* Comfortable working unsupervised, often at remote sites.
* Experience in process industries (desirable).
* Self-motivated, well-organised, computer literate, and customer focused.
* Willing and able to travel across the UK and work away from home for extended periods.
* Flexible with shift patterns including staggered starts and night work.
* Full UK manual driving licence (clean).
* Forklift or Telehandler licence (advantageous, not essential).

* Salary: Up to £42,778 based on 12-hour shifts.
* Overtime: Paid at 1.5x for Mon-Sat, and 2x for Sundays and Bank Holidays.

* Equipment: All tools, PPE, and IT equipment supplied.
* Schedule: 10-day working pattern with alternate weekends off and 4 days' rest after rotation.
