The Global Head of AI is a critical group-level leadership position responsible for advocating for and driving AI innovation across the organisation. This role will ensure the successful adoption of AI technologies while maintaining a strong focus on governance and risk management. Reporting directly to the Group CIO, the Head of AI will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's AI vision, strategy, and operational framework, ensuring that AI initiatives align with business objectives and ethical standards.

Job Description
What you’ll do
* Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the organisation’s AI strategy, aligning it with broader business objectives. Establish a clear vision for AI adoption and its integration into business processes.
* Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks from an enterprise perspective. Implement frameworks to ensure ethical use of AI technologies and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Governance Framework : Design and oversee the governance structure for AI initiatives, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration and adherence to best practices in AI ethics and accountability.
* Roadmap Development : Create a comprehensive 5-year roadmap for AI implementation that aligns with company strategy and outlines key milestones, resource allocation, and expected outcomes.
* Technology Assessment : Evaluate and recommend specific technologies that will support the organisation’s AI adoption. Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI to inform strategic decisions.
* Team Leadership : Indirectly lead and mentor a diverse team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. Work with the People & Culture team to develop learning pathways to build the AI advocacy and learning within the broader organisation.
* Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with various stakeholders, including product managers, marketing teams, and external partners, to understand their needs and ensure that AI solutions meet organisational goals.
* Performance Measurement : Establish metrics to assess the impact of AI initiatives on business performance. Report findings to the Global Leadership Team and adjust strategy and execution as necessary.
Qualifications
What we are looking for?
* Education : Master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or a related field.
* Experience : Several years of experience in leading AI projects or teams within a corporate environment. Proven track record of successful implementation of AI solutions that drive business value.
* Technical Skills : Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
* Leadership Skills : Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Governance Knowledge : Understanding of regulatory requirements related to AI usage and experience in implementing governance frameworks.
