The Welding Department is a critical function within the broader Production team, playing a key role in supporting our operational goals. Welders operate under the guidance of a dedicated team lead, fostering strong collaboration and technical consistency. As an integral unit, they contribute significantly to production efficiency and output quality. With ongoing growth in production demands, the Welding Department continues to expand in alignment with our strategic scaling efforts.
About The Role
Our Armoured Steel Welders are responsible for carrying out the welding and inspection tasks on Boxer vehicles and components in accordance with Rheinmetall's quality and safety requirements. You will complete the assigned tasks on-time to the LAND 400 Phase 2 Operations plan. They will maintain the work area ensuring compliance to WH&S and 5S requirements.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
* Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent Welders trade qualifications;
* Experience working autonomously building welded steel assemblies in a manufacturing environment;
* Qualified with the use MIG and TIG welding systems including working with HS Steels;
* Strong understanding of complete welding fabrication of major assemblies;
* Ability to read and understand specifications, technical drawings, work instructions and test procedures of complex structural components and entire vehicles;
* Be able to travel internationally if need be for training (this will be a once off occasion); and
* Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
