Goldfields‑Esperance Business Manager – Main Roads Western Australia
About the role
The Goldfields‑Esperance Business Manager is integral to the effective day‑to‑day operations and is a key part of the Regional Leadership team. The role involves developing and implementing the Region's Business Plan, proactively managing and identifying the Region's risks, and ensuring the provision of business and administrative services and advice in financial management, fixed assets, light vehicles, human resource management and land and property management.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the Region's Business Plan.
* Proactively manage and identify the Region's risks.
* Ensure the provision of business and administrative services and advice in financial management, fixed assets, light vehicles, human resource management and land and property management.
* Lead the Regional Leadership team and collaborate with stakeholders.
* Maintain a results‑driven culture and contribute to the strategic direction of Main Roads.
* Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills in a regional environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in business and financial management.
* Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
* Knowledge and experience in financial management and reporting principles, practices and systems.
* Experience managing employee behaviour, performance and development.
* Experience leading a team in the delivery of business and administrative services, including contract administration and procurement.
* Competency in managing fixed assets, light vehicles, HR and land and property management.

Specific conditions will be confirmed with the successful applicant. The salary provided is based on superannuation, regional allowances and entitlements and includes a 3.5% increase effective 1 February 2026.
