About The Role

Multiple exciting opportunities exists for dedicated Registered Nurses to join the specialised team in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role is pivotal in delivering safe, compassionate, and family-centred care to our tiniest and most vulnerable patients.

Working in close collaboration with families, carers, and the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will contribute to achieving optimal outcomes through evidence-based, holistic care.

Support will be provided through strong clinical leadership from the NICU Nurse Unit Managers, the NICU Education Team, and the Manager of Newborn Services. A comprehensive orientation program, along with tailored education and professional development opportunities, will ensure a confident and well-supported transition into the role.

Where You'll Be Working

Nestled in the vibrant coastal city of Newcastle, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at John Hunter Children's Hospital stands as one of the largest and busiest NICUs in New South Wales. This state-of-the-art, 44-bed unit is the only tertiary-level NICU outside of Sydney, providing specialist intensive care for newborns requiring both medical and surgical support across the Hunter New England and Mid North Coast regions.

Requirements

Our successful candidate will possess the following:


* Current registration as a Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
