Job Description
We are seeking a high‐performing Associate (1–3 PQE) to join our Global Financial Markets (GFM) practice in Australia, based in Sydney or Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to work on market‐leading, complex transactions as part of a globally integrated team.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise on a wide range of financing transactions, including cross‐border and multi‐jurisdictional matters
* Work closely with partners and colleagues across global offices to deliver seamless, integrated client solutions
* Take an active role in transaction execution, including drafting, negotiation, and client management
* Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives
* Contribute to the development of junior lawyers and participate in knowledge sharing across the practice
Qualifications
* 2–4 years' PQE (UK equivalent), with qualification in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
* Experience in one or more of the following:
o General banking
o Infrastructure / project finance
o Leveraged finance
o Restructuring
o Asset finance
o Structured finance
* Strong technical and transactional skills, with a proven ability to deliver high‐quality legal advice
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across jurisdictions and cultures
* Excellent academic credentials and strong commercial acumen
* Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, high‐performing environment
* Proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
* Commitment to continuous learning, mentoring, and team contribution
