Job Description
We are seeking a hands on Gardener / Groundskeeper to help keep Daydream Island looking its absolute best. You will be responsible for the presentation, upkeep, and maintenance of the resort's gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces, ensuring our guests experience the tropical beauty of our island.
This is a live off island role, with discounted ferry transfers available.
About the Role
* Maintain all gardens, lawns and indoor plants to a high standard
* Mowing lawns and edging
* Triming plants and trees
* Outdoor cleaning duties and upkeep of public areas
* Ensure all p athways and outdoor public areas are safe for guests and colleagues
* Safe maintenance and storage of equipment, tools, and garden chemicals
* Assist withpaving and general improvements
* Follow all safety procedures and demonstrate safe manual handling practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in resort, commercial or public gardening
* Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
* Drivers licence (Essential)
* Comfortable working outdoors in tropical conditions
* Think on their feet and strong problem solving skills
* Professional, guest focused attitude
* Reliable team player who can work under pressure when required
