Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive and accurate assessments of residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
* Develop, implement, and contribute to individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Safely manage and administer medications according to facility policies and procedures.
* Provide clinical care and perform necessary nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheter management, and pain management.
* Effectively lead and supervise Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), delegating tasks appropriately and providing guidance.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, their families, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and other members of the care team.
* Ensure accurate documentation of all assessments, care plans, interventions, and observations in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
* Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols.
Requirements
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* A minimum of six months of recent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse within the Aged Care sector in Australia.
* A current and valid Influenza vaccination.
* Evidence of having received at least three COVID-19 vaccinations.
* A valid National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required).
