Who we are
The Grant Systems Section is responsible for the management and administration of the NHMRC grant management platform (Sapphire) and operational reporting environment. Its broader responsibilities include contract and service delivery, project delivery, system support and configuration.
Who we are seeking
NHMRC is seeking an experienced and high performing candidate to fill the role of Tester. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and dedicated Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on ensuring the functionality and reliability of the Grants Management System. They should be capable of working under the guidance of the Test Manager and collaborating effectively with the development team.
Job specific duties
As the Tester, to support the delivery of NHMRCs refreshed granting platform, Sapphire, you will:
- Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts as directed by the Test Manager.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the quality of the system.
- Document and report test results, including any defects found during testing.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Participate in test planning and review sessions.
- Ensure that testing activities are conducted in accordance with established processes and standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of the user interfaces and user experiences of the Grants Management System.

Notes
The location for this role is flexible, it can be in our Canberra or Melbourne offices or any location within Australia.
This a temporary role and is initially available until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of an extension.
