About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Years Commitment program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child – in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future. Key initiatives will include supporting families with young children to access the services they need to support their own prosperity and wellbeing; valuing and growing the early childhood education and care sector and investing in early childhood teachers and educators.

About the role
As our Manager, Research and Evaluation you will be empowered to build and support your own team of Researchers that work on a broad range of projects that assist children with a better quality of life through Education. Some impactful projects you will be involved in are the following; Grow your own, Children for Voice, First Steps as well as other Research and Evaluation Projects.
Some key responsibilities include the following;
·Provide strategic direction for research and evaluation in Early Childhood Education
·Lead strategic research initiatives to build research culture and capabilities
·Identifying research partnership opportunities for Early Childhood Education with high engagement stakeholders, both internal and external
·Advising teams on best practice research and evaluation design and methodologies
·Multiple Research and Evaluation projects contributing to positively influencing children’s Education.
·Leading research design and delivery

About you
This role is for you if you have most of the following;
·Interest and/or passion in helping improve the lives of the first 5000 days of children’s lives
·Previous Leadership experience
·Research and Analysis experience
·Exposure to delivering multiple projects
·Good stakeholder management, ability to present to a broad range of audiences
Essential requirements of the role
·A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
