Professional Development Lead
This is a key position within the Nursing & Midwifery Education Unit leadership team at our organization.
About The Role
The Professional Development Lead will oversee planning, organizing and implementing evidence-based professional development programs to build capability within the nursing and midwifery workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of professional development programs.
* Coordinate Nursing & Midwifery orientation and mandatory training.
* Apply the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment (BPCLE) framework.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify learning needs.
* Facilitate the functionality of the Grampians Learning Hub.
* Develop education programs aligned with funding and workforce initiatives.
* Provide leadership, manage resources, and support direct reports.
* Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of programs.
* Prepare high-quality reports and contribute to governance, accreditation, and funding submissions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (no conditions).
* Post-graduate qualifications in Education or Training (Management desirable).
* Extensive experience managing clinical education programs.
* Strong clinical, operational, and leadership background.
* Proficiency in learning management systems and data analysis.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills and high-level report writing ability.
* Knowledge of health service operations and curriculum development, including simulation.
