We work across the residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. Our projects span the nation, and we're now looking for a Project Manager who is not just ready - but excited - to work FIFO and on remote sites for extended periods of time.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on, site‐based Project Manager position suited to someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and has a strong sense of ownership. You'll take charge of project delivery from planning through to completion, managing costs, schedules, safety and stakeholder engagement across our remote and regional worksites. Your ability to build rapport on‐site, lead teams, and solve problems proactively will be critical to success.
You'll be working closely with our estimators, engineers, site supervisors and senior leadership team – and you'll be the face of DEMEX in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the head contract and scope of works for each project
* Develop and maintain a master contract program; manage updates and communication with key stakeholders
* Manage the day‐to‐day delivery of remote projects, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance
* Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Build strong, trust‐based relationships across the project lifecycle
* Actively contribute to DEMEX's growing national presence
About You
* Significant project management experience in the civil, mining, remediation or demolition industries
* Proven success delivering remote or FIFO‐based projects
* Strong understanding of contracts, drawings, programs and construction methodology
* Ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods (FIFO or DIDO)
* Confident leading teams and subcontractors in remote environments
* Proficient with Microsoft Project and other project scheduling tools
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant construction‐related discipline desirable
* High level of initiative, resilience, and a hands‐on approach to problem solving
