About the Team Join a collaborative project team delivering complex initiatives within a government environment. APS6 Project Officers lead complex project activities and provide technical and strategic support, while APS5 Project Officers support delivery through coordination, research, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities – APS6 Project Officer:
* Lead and manage complex project activities and schedules
* Provide specialist advice and technical expertise
* Undertake research, analysis, and prepare reports and briefs
* Coordinate project reporting and manage risks and issues
* Support budgets, procurement, and quality management
Key Responsibilities – APS5 Project Officer:
* Support project coordination and delivery activities
* Assist with project planning, reporting, and documentation
* Conduct research and draft briefs and reports
* Support budget monitoring, procurement, and risk management
* Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams
Essential Criteria – APS6:
* Experience delivering complex project work in fast-paced environments
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven critical thinking and decision-making ability
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Essential Criteria – APS5:
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to analyse problems and support practical solutions
* Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Sound judgement within policy and procedural frameworks
Desirable Criteria (Both roles):
* Experience in government or large, regulated organisations
