Role Overview
The Social Content Producer is a key production role, ensuring the smooth execution of all pre-production, production, and post-production functions for social and content. Additionally, this position plays a key role in managing and optimizing creative resources across social and content projects. It provides hands-on experience in content production, resource planning, and wider production opportunities when time permits.
Roles & Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Production
* Lead the planning and production process for social and content jobs. Capture briefs, providing production expertise engaging with all aspects of production such as shooters, directors, crew, location, talent, influencers (ensuring compliance), editors, props etc.
* Develop production Price Quotes in agency finance system for all social, content, and other Bastion production when applicable
* Ensure that all permits, licences, and local laws are adhered to when commencing production, such as but not limited to governing local governing bodies, i.e. Kids Guardian, local council etc.
* Maintain all documentation, job folders, records and filing in a timely manner
* All digital assets filed on server or BastionKeep DAM when required
* Act as the liaison between ACM, production, and the creative content team, ensuring feedback is communicated and actioned efficiently
* Own and oversee the production of content across social media clients, ensuring timely execution from concept approval through to delivery
* Maintain a strong understanding of social media channels, ad formats, and content consumption trends, staying updated on platform tools
* Lean into other production requirements when available or opportunity presents
Shoot Leadership and On-Set Execution
* Manage production budgets end-to-end including quoting, negotiating suppliers and talent, tracking spend, reconciling costs, and ensuring job profitability
* Attend all shoots as the on-ground lead, ensuring the creative vision is executed across social-first formats
* Direct shooters, talent, and crew on the day, providing clear, confident guidance anchored in the approved concept
* Oversee real-time problem solving on set (weather, location, talent changes, timing blowouts, approvals, etc.)
* Manage talent end-to-end on shoot day including briefing, warming them up, coaching delivery, ensuring they feel supported and confident
* Bring out authentic, engaging responses that align with the brand and platform style.
* Work with influencer leads to oversee influencer compliance (disclosures, usage rights, contract terms, deliverables)
* Ensure all required content is being captured: hero assets, cutdowns, BTS, vertical-safe compositions, stills, social-first variation
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in social content production, with a deep technical understanding of the shooting and the post-production process
* Minimum 5+ years of experience (as a dedicated social, agency or line producer) within an agency or production environment with a large network of specialist crew and suppliers
* Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage schedules, track resources, and prioritize tasks effectively
* Experience in booking talent, Influencers, rights management and image/video licencing
* Thorough technical understanding of the best camera, sound and post-production equipment and platforms
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to coordinate between creative teams, production and account management
* Eagerness to learn: A proactive approach to developing production and resource management skills
* Knowledge of creative processes: Some understanding of how creative teams work (e.g., designers, writers, and strategists)
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere, Frame IO, Adobe Express Excel, Word and PowerPoint and AI
* Familiarity with project management tools like Workbook, Float, or similar platforms is a plus
* Experience in production budget management and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and quality in production
