Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced educator who can promote children's well-being, development and learning by helping them develop values, attitudes and ways of living and learning. This will be achieved by providing a high quality of care, activities and educational elements to those in the program, managing and promoting a team environment and working within the organization's philosophy, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
">
">
* Lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment with the support of Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator
">
* Ensure children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program, and Educators facilitate and extend each child's learning and development;
">
* Liaise effectively with parents, staff and all internal and external stakeholders;
">
* Mentor and support educators understanding of the educational program and practice including how to reflect on the effectiveness of their programs, interactions, intentional teaching and other strategies;
">
* Ensure compliance with policy;
">
* Undertake administrative requirements;
">
* Work collaboratively with families and the school community.
">

Requirements:
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
">
Qualifications:
">
A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education;
">
Skills and Knowledge:
">
Sound experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting; Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework; Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning; Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning; Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles; Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas; Current First Aid and CPR Certification; Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, Blue Card.
