Workshop Supervisor Role
About this opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our team in Tamworth. This full-time position involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the workshop, ensuring quality work is completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices, allocating tasks to meet project timelines
* Promote and demonstrate safety behaviours, reporting processes
* Provide support and advice to the team to minimize delays and inform better decisions
* Implement effective work order management to meet productivity targets and quality standards
* Maintain positive customer relationships through external vendor management
* Oversee roster management and approve timesheets
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance processes, drive efficiencies, and improve business operations
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in mobile plant maintenance in an agricultural, civil, or mining setting
* Previous experience in supervising teams
* Advanced organisational skills with ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate efficiently
* Ability to handle deadlines and conflicting priorities
* Management of needs between internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal
* Ability to work successfully in a team and individually, fostering positive working relationships
