Financial Accountant Role Summary:
This is a highly sought-after position for a driven and detail-oriented professional to lead our global corporate finance operations.
We are looking for someone with excellent analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and exceptional communication abilities to drive financial planning and analysis across our international operations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a chartered accounting practice, and a strong proficiency in Excel.
A proven track record of delivering high-quality results, leading teams, and driving process improvements would be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
* Manage Month-End Process: Lead the preparation and posting of complex general ledger journals and perform reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
* Deliver Insightful Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packs, drive analysis of variances, and contribute to cash flow preparations for corporate entities.
* Drive Balance Sheet Integrity: Take accountability for reconciling key balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, intercompany positions, and investment entities.
* Cross-Border Collaboration: Manage intercompany reconciliations and settlements with our teams across the US, UK, and Canada, ensuring accuracy and transparency across global ledgers.
* Ensure Compliance Excellence: Assist in the preparation and lodgment of BAS and other regulatory filings for multiple jurisdictions.
* Contribute to Ad-Hoc Global Projects: Support the execution of multi-region finance initiatives, systems enhancements, and compliance projects that drive operational efficiency and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting
* At least 3 years' experience working in a Public Accounting/Chartered Accounting Practice
* Strong Excel skills
* Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise across functions and regions
