QA Build is the powerhouse behind the construction of GemLife communities. GemLife Heritage Park is a $250m community designed to embrace nature with 310 homes at completion and Logan Grove based at Chambers Flat is a $260m community which will boast 282 homes. Our pipeline of work in the area is at least 3 - 4 years at each site. As Site Manager Residential, you will be responsible for running the site, managing the team of Plant Operators, Labourers and Contractors to deliver homes on time to the highest standard of quality and safety. There will be a separate commercial team working on the site managing the delivery of the clubhouse, wellness centre, summer pavilion, sporting facilities and entry statement. Each month, the commercial and residential teams come together to host a site BBQ, helping strengthen relationships across staff and contractors and support a well‐coordinated work environment
We are seeking two ideal candidates (one for each site) who will be confident leaders who can make decisions easily, provide effective solutions, keep projects running smoothly, communicate well and spot potential challenges early. You will be supported from Head Office on the Gold Coast with a dedicated Estimator, Draftsperson and Building Administrator to ensure projects are following deadlines and a team behind you to help any troubleshooting. Our Business Development Manager will be on the ground to liaise and source trades for the site to ensure your time is spent on what matters - building incredible houses! We have an average build time of 16-weeks with proven methodologies to achieve these time frames. There is already an existing base of contractors who can't wait to assist with the production of these sites!
To be successful you must:
* Have a QBCC License
* Experience in Residential Construction with high volume
* Drivers License + white card
* A trade background, carpentry is preferred
* Site Management experience while following WHS procedures
* Problem solving skills and good decision making
* Competent with IT, preferably Onsite Companion
* Have a practical, hands‐on approach ensuring you're present on site and follow through with what you commit to
* Remain calm under pressure while adapting to challenges if they arise
