Why this role matters
We have an exciting opportunity for a Thrift Shop Assistant Manager for our Wendouree Thrift Shop. This role will assist the Thrift Shop Manager to lead and develop the stores to maximize profits and strengthen links between thrift shops, Community Support Service, wider community and Corps. This role will have supervisory responsibilities of volunteers.
This is a part time position, 21 hours per week. Roster is currently Thursday, Fridays and Saturday shifts. The Thrift Shop is located at 1113 Norman St, Wendouree.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Retail Industry Award 2010, Level 4.

What we're looking for
- Experience in team management is essential
- Merchandising and store presentation skills
- Experience managing stock
- Basic working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- A valid VIC Drivers Licence
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
Nice to have
- Experience working and managing volunteers preferred
- Retail management experience is highly desirable
- Certificate in Retail Operations / Diploma of Business is desirable
- Certificate level qualification in Retail Management desirable
This position will require physical ability to safely stand, sit, walk regularly and for long periods of time. Some responsibilities require the Manager to push, pull, lift, carry and restrain stock, climb ladders, and use computer mouse and eftpos machine. This will all be in line with WHS policies and procedures.
