About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of artisan sourdough bread and pastries according to established recipes and standards. They will manage dough fermentation and shaping processes to achieve desired flavor, texture, and appearance. Additionally, they will liaise with kitchen staff and satellite shop to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a sourdough baker, with expertise in both bread and pastry production.
* AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
* Strong knowledge of sourdough fermentation principles and techniques.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise with kitchen staff and satellite shop.
