About the role
Hix Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Penrith, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Traffic Signals and associated electrical infrastructure. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our region's transportation network. Hix is a BGIS Business and operates alongside BGIS.
What You'll Be Doing
* Carry out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on Traffic Signals and ITS
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with traffic signal systems and components
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks
* Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to coordinate work activities
* Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards and regulations
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Electrician with a current Unrestricted Electrician's Licence
* Extensive experience working on traffic signal and road infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring diagrams and traffic signal systems
* Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Willingness to work a range of shifts, Inc: Day / Night / Away
