About the Role We're currently seeking a Senior Policy & Project Officer to join a NSW Government team based in Parramatta. This is a great opportunity for a strong all-rounder who enjoys policy development, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support the delivery of projects, programs, and initiatives
* Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and decision-making
* Prepare high-quality written materials including briefs, reports, and discussion papers
* Provide advice to senior stakeholders on policy and project matters
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support outcomes and alignment
* Assist in developing and reviewing policies, procedures, and frameworks
About You
* 3–5+ years' experience in policy, project, or government roles
* Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing briefs and reports
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Confident engaging with a range of stakeholders
* Experience in the public sector or working with community organisations is highly regarded
* Experience or understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Experience working with community-controlled organisations
