Job Opportunity: Clinical Pharmacology Specialist
Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our clinical pharmacology team as a specialist. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the supervised clinical management of patients under the direct care of our clinical pharmacology team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assume the supervised clinical management of patients under the direct care of the clinical pharmacology team
* Be a member of the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Consulting Service involved in the management of patients with multiple medical diseases
* Undertake assessment and treatment of patients
* Contribute to the management of patients and provide appropriate and timely emotional support to families of patients
* Be involved in a number of educational roles for medical students, pharmacists, and other clinical staff
* Contribute to medication governance through involvement in committees such as the drug committee and the Investigational Drug Subcommittee
* Be involved in clinical research, which is a fundamental part of Clinical Pharmacology
Requirements:
* Successful completion of the Royal Australasian Fellowship (FRACP) exam, both written and clinical
* Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner
* Demonstrate competence in clinical pharmacology
* High level of personal and professional integrity and commitment to quality improvement and safe practice
* Adaptable to change and willing to accept constructive feedback on performance from senior staff
* Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
