Plan and lead all construction activities in alignment with project delivery schedule/ activities to ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
How you'll make an impact:
You will plan project construction activities with Project Manager including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy. Develop project Construction Plan and participate in Construction Risk Assessment Workshop (CRAW), HAZOPs, and other project related workshops.
You will be responsible, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer or Project Manager to handing over to the end customer on completion day, for coordinating all on-site construction activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
You will serve as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations such as authorities and suppliers to ensure their active support of field activities. Evaluates, finalizes, and manages the sub-contractors hired by Hitachi Energy to ensure necessary quality and progress achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.
You will control project cost for the project construction work, monitors actual spending against forecasts, and estimates final cost for the same. Ensures all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for the construction work on site.
You will ensure (with PM support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and direct. Guides motivate and develop direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Coordinates local accommodation, site facilities, office equipment, petty cash, etc.
You will aid Sales and Tendering functions in development of tenders and proposals in defining scope of work, construction programs and schedules, construction costing, assessment of Requirment Specifications (upstream/downstream), risk workshops.
You will assist Supply Chain Management functions in assessing and auditing suppliers. Assesses Supplier offers against tender /project scope, technical and commercial requirements. Undertakes international assignments supporting Asia Hub projects within Asia Hub regional operational area.
You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or alternative tertiary equivalent or Electrical / Mechanical Trade Certificate.
5+ years of Site/Construction Management experience including large and complex greenfield and brownfield projects.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel demonstrated planning and people management skills.
