Add expected salary to your profile for insightsPosition Title: Enrolled and Registered NursesDepartment/Area: OperationsReporting Relationships (reporting lines):Direct Report to: As defined by ClientIndirect Report to: Focused Attention ManagementJob Purpose (prime focus & objective of the position):The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring a consistently high quality of care is provided to our residents, facilitating and supporting their continued enjoyment of life within their level of capability.Integral to this is proactive management of resident care, commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and high standards of work ethics, whilst ensuring compliance with Home/Hospital guidelines/policies, Department regulations, and WHS legislation.The role requires maintaining strong relationships with residents and their families, care staff, leisure and lifestyle coordinators, and external health & allied professionals.Key Contacts (include contact the position will have on an ongoing basis):Internal Contacts: All Home staff and residentsExternal Contacts: Resident relatives, visitors, governing bodies, doctors, external Focused Attention health professionals, Focused Attention Management.Key Accountabilities:High Quality Resident CareDelivering high-quality care respecting residents’ privacy and dignity, with a focus on quality customer service.Completing initial assessments, care planning, and ongoing management of residents’ individual care needs within scope of practice.Implementing care plans as assessed by the healthcare team and residents/representatives.Reporting and recording relevant information about residents’ care needs.Respecting residents’ property, managing resources economically without compromising care.Collaborating with medical and health professionals, residents, and families in care planning and evaluation.Being accountable for Duty of Care to residents.Following instructions from management regarding care delivery.Providing holistic, person-centred care using the care plan.Striving to improve nursing standards through practice revision and staff development.Resident & Family RelationshipsMaintaining professional standards in interactions.Ensuring confidentiality of all resident records.Engaging positively with residents and their families.Participating in resolving concerns, referring complex issues to management.Practicing courteous communication with residents, relatives, and visitors.ComplianceUnderstanding and following policies, procedures, infection control, and WHS practices.Delivering standards as per the Aged Care Act 1997.Following reporting guidelines for incidents and absences.Using electronic care planning and other systems as instructed.Working within quality management, infection control, manual handling, and OHS regulations.Adhering to medication policies and legislation.Maintaining police check and COVID vaccination proof.Supervisory and ManagementSupervising and monitoring care standards, ensuring individualised, person-centred care.Assessing and updating care needs and documentation.Exercising leadership, initiative, and time management skills.Providing supervision and training to staff.Reporting incidents and managing specific portfolios and quality activities.Records ManagementMaintaining accurate medical records and reports.Ensuring confidentiality of records.Reporting personal details and changes to management.Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)Ensuring safety for self and others.Reporting hazards and incidents.Participating in safety programs and compliance training.Supporting safety initiatives and KPIs.DevelopmentMaintaining registration and professional development.Participating in orientation, training, and education programs.Engaging in performance reviews and peer support.Updating skills and knowledge regularly.Other DutiesPerforming any other duties as required.Qualifications Required:Enrolled and Registered Nurse with 5+ years of experience.Graduate Certificate in Aged Care (Desirable).Leadership and management qualifications (Desirable).Experience/Knowledge Required:Experience in aged care.Effective communication skills, including with CALD backgrounds.Current police check and AHPRA registration.Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.Initiative, organization, problem-solving skills, professionalism, leadership ability.Ongoing education in aged care.Maintains a clean, tidy work environment.Behaviours aligned with Company Values:Accountability.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include questions about your work rights, experience, police check, management experience, OH&S/WHS knowledge, and registration status.
