We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Compliance and Reporting to lead IREN’s end-to-end global tax compliance and quarterly tax provision, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, strong governance, and continuous improvement across the Group. Job Requirements Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline with post-graduate qualification preferred. CA/CPA/CTA qualification (Australia or equivalent) Experience: 8–12 years in corporate tax compliance and tax reporting, ideally across multiple jurisdictions in a multinational or Big 4 environment. Strong technical knowledge of corporate income tax and tax accounting standards. Previous US GAAP experience is desirable but not essential. Proven track record building tax control frameworks, managing audits, and delivering on tight reporting deadlines. Strong experience with tax technology and data tools essential, advanced Excel skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage advisers and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining independence and fostering a collaborative, group-oriented environment Job Responsibilities Corporate Income Tax Compliance Overall responsibility for the Group’s corporate income tax compliance & filings (including federal and state tax returns) across Australia, the US and Canada, working closely with external tax advisers to ensure accuracy and timely submission. Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation, including Country-by-Country, Pillar 2 and SGE reporting requirements. Manage corporate income tax related audits and other revenue authority reviews. Income Tax Provision Lead preparation and review of the Group tax provision including DTA/DTL and tax footnote disclosures under US GAAP (quarterly reporting) and IFRS (Australian annual reporting). Serve as the SOX process owner for tax, ensuring that key controls are properly designed, implemented, and are operating effectively throughout the reporting period. Act as the primary point of contact for tax related matters with the Group’s external auditors Process Improvement Drive continuous improvements in the Group’s tax compliance and reporting processes by standardizing workflows and templates across jurisdictions. Look for opportunities to implement automation tools and other tax technology solutions to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. Provide specialist tax input for system implementations and upgrades impacting tax reporting and/or compliance. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary liaison between Tax, Finance, Legal, external advisors and the Group’s auditors on compliance related matters. Ensure alignment on compliance timelines, provision deliverables, and audit readiness. Communicate complex tax issues clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
