**Position Title**: Associate Director, Network Operations
**Reports to**: IT Principal Senior Staff Engineer
**Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results**:
Collaborate with peers to review design proposals and implementation plans
Create, review, and maintain documentation
Stage, deploy, and test configurations
Resolve issues and escalate to DC network team management when necessary
Implement new equipment
Datacenter design and planning
Patience to adhere to maintenance windows and change control procedures
Develop improved processes to improve firewall and VPN service reliability and availability.
Provide periodic performance reports for review with management providing input on improvements and quality initiatives.
Work with Cigna change management in SNOW and divestiture market change management requirement
Ensure all network equipment and devices are kept up to date with the latest patches and security fixes.

Flexibility to work with US and other global teams and varying time zones effectively.
Strong organization skills with the ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to balance multiple priorities at once and deliver on tight timelines.

Provide emergency response when it is necessary and cover all data networking related items with GNOC/L2 support.

**Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements**:
Experience with design, implementation, and migration projects
Extensive Routing and Switching experience with Cisco NX-OS (Nexus 9K/7k) / Arista
Routing and Switching experience with Cisco IOS (Cisco 2900, ASR, 3850, 4500, 6500,C9K)
Routing experience with difference OS such as FortiOS/PA
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)
Firewall and load balancing implementation experience (F5,ACE, CSM,CSS,ASA,FWSM)
Solid understanding of VLAN, SVI, STP, VDC, VPC
Understanding of DNS and DHCP
Ability to troubleshoot network and system connectivity issues
Network device refresh including Cisco switches, WLC and other security devices.
Cigna MPLS routing update and administration
Cisco SD-WAN setup, implementation and administration
Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently or as a contributing member to the team
Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
MS Visio and Excel experience
Ability to manage projects and drive them to completion
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Customer oriented temperament
Cisco certifications (eg. CCSP, CCIE)
Fortinet/Palo Alto certifications
F5 certifications (eg. F5-CA, F5-CTS, F5-CADE, F5-CADA)
**Cloud certification ( eg**: AWS, Azure, Oracle)
Network/Firewall/Load-balancing migration experience
Firewall experience (PA, Fortigate, Junier, Cisco ASA)
5+ years practical experience in a network environment as a network engineer, architect, analyst or specialist
