**The Role**
Protect IAG's digital and information assets by increasing the awareness and education of our staff, partners and customers.
You will be responsible for clearly and effectively explaining complex security concepts and promoting the secure behaviours necessary for protecting our customer information, systems, assets and people. The position requires the research, analysis and writing of security content for all security education and awareness activities, programs, and campaigns. As a key member of the team, you will ensure an easy-to-understand readability level and tone of voice is maintained across all security communications. This role is also the custodian of the security website, ensuring all content is current and accurate. You will measure and report on success of the security campaigns and communications through channels, such as Security Website, The Vine, Our Place, Yammer.
This role is in one of the critical teams in Cyber and Protective Services. It is to be part of an elite group that is in huge demand across Australia. A major sophisticated cyber-attack against IAG could have a catastrophic impact on the business, and this team is one of the main lines of defence against such an attack.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Security Comms/Campaigns -Create, maintain, report and support an annual communications strategy and campaign plan.
- Campaign planning - work with Security Education and Awareness manager to design, execute and report on security related campaigns.
- Content research - monitor information security industry news and work with our SMEs to identify gaps in existing content, and research new content.
- Content simplification - write comms for our employees, contractors and partners to inform, alert and educate based on the communications strategy and requests from the cyber and protective services team.
- Communication excellence - analyse the existing digital content and map out a new content model and ideas. Work with our inhouse graphic designer to develop explanatory materials such as presentations, videos, blog posts, videos and other materials needed to support the security messages and maximise reader engagement.
- Content writing - maintain the existing tone of voice and readability level for as relevant to various employee groups.
- Security Website - maintain and continue to develop the CPS Security website to ensure all content is up to date and fresh.
**Skills & Experience**
- A flair for writing engaging and story-led content
- Strong ability to analyse large volumes of existing information, wick away the chaff and identify how readers can best navigate this information in the most simple and optimal way based on what they want to know and is relevant to them
- At least 3 years' experience as a writer
- Brilliant written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in writing content for websites desirable
- Ability to write content optimised for SEO desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in journalism, English, copywriting, communications, digital marketing, or digital content strategy desirable
- Exposure to creating non-written content e.g. imagery, video desirable
