Account Administrative Officer – Join Our Superstar Team at National Care Society

Role Description: This is a part-time on-site role based in Cairns, QLD, for an Account Administrative Officer. In this position, you will manage financial tasks, including payroll processing, bookkeeping, rostering and general administrative duties. You will be responsible for financial statements, compliance, and supporting rostering systems.
Key Duties:
* Full Payroll Responsibility: Manage employee entitlements, onboarding, payments, and statutory compliance, including payroll tax, WorkCover, Superannuation, and taxation.
* Work Cover Management: Oversee WorkCover claims and provide support to staff on WorkCover.
* Accounting Responsibilities: Manage financial statements, assist with accounts payable and receivable, and perform bookkeeping tasks using Xero and CareMaster.
* General Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the team.
* CareMaster Rostering: Use the client management system to roster supports and organise a team of 60-70 staff.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll management.
* Experience with rostering and working within the NDIS industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of financial statements and experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience with general administrative work and the ability to multitask.
