The School has a vibrant Boarding, Education, Cultural and Sporting program that extends across the full year and two campuses.
Role Overview
The Southport School is now seeking a reliable, caring bus driver to assist with before school and after school bus runs five days per week, school excursions, incursions (campus to campus) and to assist with transporting our students on weekends to sporting fixtures from time to time during the school term.
Responsibilities
Assist with before school and after school bus runs five days per week.
Support school excursions and incursions between campuses.
Transport students to sporting fixtures on weekends as needed during the school term.
Qualifications
* A current Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (HR)
* A current driver authority
* A working with children paid blue card (or willing to obtain)
* A criminal history check certificate
* A current first aid certificate would be considered beneficial though not essential
Hours & Availability
Hours will vary based on the demands of the School and across both our Preparatory and Senior School campuses. We anticipate that this role may drive up to 30 hours per week during School term time.
Expectations
Successful candidates will be willing to support the Code of Conduct and stated values and Anglican Ethos of the School. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people and may be required to undertake a vehicle driving trial on campus.
