We are seeking an experienced Application Tester (Migration Test Analyst) to support the successful delivery of a Program, you will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end testing activities across multiple projects and initiatives, initially supporting the migration to the Microsoft 365 platform and/or in Migrating Database applications (Structured). The role operates within a fast‑paced, Agile, highly complex, and secure environment.
You will bring strong hands‑on experience in migration testing, with a solid foundation in general software testing practices, particularly within the Microsoft 365 product suite (Unstructured) and/or as well as in Migrating Database applications (Structured) and secure cloud environments.
This role requires you to work from the Canberra office 2 - 3 days per week and possess a minimum of an NV1 Security Clerance.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Deliver testing activities in alignment with the endorsed Program Testing Strategy and QA governance frameworks.Plan and execute testing across applications, platforms, and integrations, with an initial focus on M365 solutions.Data Migration testing specific to Apps/Systems those are integrated with and tailor testing approaches and techniques to suit project and program needs, while adhering to security, compliance, and environmental constraints.Analyse business and technical requirements to ensure appropriate test coverage and Risk‑Based testing.Test artefacts management.Manage test execution activities and defects using approved tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and processes.Work closely with project stakeholders, including technical teams and business representatives, to support delivery outcomes.Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including execution support, defect triage, and stakeholder engagement.Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and outcomes clearly and effectively to a range of audiences.Identify, document, and proactively raise risks and issues that may impact delivery outcomes.Defect Management.Support QA governance activities, including validation of testing outcomes and contribution to formal QA sign‑off.
You will have demonstrated experience in:
End‑to‑end software testing across multiple phases of the SDLC/STLC.Migration testing, including validation of data, content, and functionality across environments.Migration Testing enterprise platforms and applications, including (but not limited to):Microsoft 365 solutions such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Exchange OnlineInformation management and data protection solutions (e.g. DLP - Sensitivity labels etc., Content Management)Migrating the Apps/Systems those are integrated with databasesWriting clear, comprehensive test cases based on functional, non‑functional, and technical requirements.Test artefacts management and Defect Management using Azure DevOps.Test artefacts Management: Develop and maintain test artefacts such as test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data preparation, validation, reconciliation, test reports, and Requirements Traceability a range of testing types, including (but not limited to):Migration testingData and content integrity validationReconciliationFunctional, System, Integration, End‑to‑End (E2E) and Regression testing as required.Validation of structured and unstructured data following system changes or Management: Defect identification, logging, prioritisation, tracking, defect triage, and resolution management till closure.Working effectively within fast‑paced delivery environments.Supporting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including business engagement and defect triage.
