Human Resources Assistant – Retail Head Office Full-time | National Retail Organisation Sydney - 2025 We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to join a supportive HR team within a long-established Australian retail business. This full-time role is based at Arncliffe in Sydney and offers a great opportunity to build hands-on HR experience in a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment. This role supports the day-to-day delivery of HR operations across the business and is well suited to someone early in their HR career who enjoys variety, collaboration and working closely with people. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting daily HR operations, including maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation. Coordinating and organising Head Office onboarding sessions for new starters. Assisting with recruitment administration and candidate coordination. Managing and updating HR information systems (Dayforce), ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Providing first-level support for HR and L&D-related employee enquiries. Assisting with the planning and administration of training and development initiatives. Supporting compliance with HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation. Providing general administrative support to streamline HR processes and support the wider HR team. What You’ll Bring Experience in an HR support, HR administration or coordinator role, or relevant practical experience alongside HR studies. Familiarity with HRIS platforms, ideally Dayforce, or the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail. Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills. An interest in learning and development and supporting employee growth. Knowledge of Australian employment legislation is advantageous.
